You will say 'YES' for yourself and 'NO' for your dependents. Immigration petition is nothing but I-140, if any of your family members have filed I-140 then answer would be 'YES'

If your name is coorect in EAD, then you should go to SSN office and
explain them , and if required re apply. You will get it changed. Remember SSN is going to be stuck to your lifetime. Hence better do the correct thing.

My Lawyer said that the Premium Processing for I-140 will be again available from 08/16/2007, he said he knows that 100%. Did someone have some information about this ??. Can this be true??

I wish this could be more easy.
That's why people hire lawyers to help them! The 864 is especially tricky.
The person being sponsored does not need to sign the I-864A as a household member, unless you have family immigrating with you. The whole reason for using an 864A is to show that a "household member" agrees to be a joint sponsor. By definition, a household member must live in the same house, i.e. have the same address.
Provide whatever documents you have to show that you have the same address, but considering having a lawyer help you, since this is a bit of a mess.

I presently have a Nikon D100 which wife is beginning to use more and more....so I am thinking of purchasing another digital Nikon..........was thinking of getting the D70. Yes, that is possible. However, you don't need to have a second H1B with employer "B" in order for that employer to apply for LC and 140 for you since LC and 140 are for future jobs.

My wife is a Canadian citizen, what is the process of getting a H4 for her? (I am on an H1-140 approved).
1)Do I file an app with USCIS?
2)Can she go apply at the US consulate in Canada?
What type of documents, forms are involved ?
The reason for this post is I was given conflicting info by my old lawyer.

Your wife should take an appointment at the closest US Consulate. She and you should then look up the list of documents needed on the website of that US Consulate.

I do not get my pay checks by email. We have to log into our company's internal web site and take a print out of the paycheck. (Its actually a web page I have been taking a printout, even for my Visa extensions). My parents had a Visa Stamping last month with out any issues.

I have worked in the US for 3 months (april, may and june) on H1b visa and still haven't got my pay stubs. Recently I came to India for my marriage and after marriage, I want to go to US on L2 visa (my fiance is on L1 visa). While trying to go to US on L2 visa, will I be asked to produce my previous pay stubs? Also when I asked my employer to give my pay stubs he said he had lost them and said instead of pay stubs I can have W2 which will be the proof that I have worked. Will the W2 be enough or I need the pay stubs? Please someone clarify my doubts.

Can anyone define who (what) are the nonprofit organization that would be the exempts for the regular H1-B Cap?
USIS's website says they are the "institutions of higher education or a related or affiliated nonprofit entity" or "a nonprofit research organization or a governmental research organization."
I understand colleges and governmental organization are included, but what else qualifies for this category? I mean there are millions of nonprofit orgs...from the one that does important research for a state to the one that helps promoting the US. film industry to the one that cleans up streets for free....I'm just so confused.
Any little help would be most appreciated.
